Butter for baking

Butter provides more flavor and a higher fat content for your baking than margarine, making it a better, but higher calorie choice.

When using butter, use the stick variety and make sure it's soft but not melted.

Ensuring the butter is at the right temperature allows it to be incorporated more easily into the flour resulting in more tender baked goods.
