Tip of the Week

Gourmet Leftover Pizza

1 prepared pizza shell
3 ounces cream cheese; at room temp
1/4 cup sauce *
1/2 cup sliced vegetables **
1/4 cup cooked meat***
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup cheese, grated ****

Spread cream cheese evenly over pizza shell. Top with sauce of choice, vegetables, meat/poultry, onion and then sprinkle with cheese.

Place on a pizza stone or pan and bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until crisp and bubbly.

* Sauce options would include:
Basil Pesto
Sundried Tomato Pesto
Salsa
Taco Sauce
Pizza Sauce

**Vegetable Options would include
red, yellow or orange peppers, sliced
mushrooms, sliced
zucchini, sliced
artichoke hearts
jalapeno peppers

***Good meat options include:
cooked crumbled back
cooked sausage, sliced or cubed
cooked chicken, sliced
cooked shrimp

****Good cheese options
Cheddar
Mozarella
Monterey Jack
